Discover the Guyana’s in 15 days. Meet locals, walk thru the jungles, fly to Kaieteur, see the space center and experience the canopy.

Day 1: Arrive at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport. Transfer to Hotel with ac bus and guide.

Day 2: City Tour thru the wooden city of Paramaribo which UNESCO heritage since 2002. See the different styles of buildings and Musk just beside a Synagogue. This you will see only in Suriname.

After a 3 hour city tour we will drive directly to Albina, the border with St. Laurant in French Guyana. From here we will cross the Marowijneriver by boat and our tour will proceed by visiting small villages on our way to Cayenne. (L)

Day 3: On this day, you will visit the space center in Kouru, France Guyana, Devil’s Island and a Museum.

Day 4: After exploring French Guyana you will leave again for Suriname.

Day 5: Day for Leisure or own activities.

Day 6: From Paramaribo we will leave to Bergendal adventure Center. The canopy zip line thru the tops of the trees, kayaking on the Surinameriver and a hike are on schedule. After these activities we move to Brownsberg Nature Park where we will spend the night. (L,D)

Day 7: A hike to the Irene waterfall thru the highland jungle. This is part of the Amazon Rainforest. Here we have the chance to spot animals like the agouti, deer, wild pork, 4 kinds of monkeys (spider, howler, capuchin, biza) and a lot of birds. In the afternoon we leave for the Upper Suriname Maroon Jungle tour. A part of the road will be by canoe. (hollow out tree trunk).(L,D)

Day 8: A jungle hike with an explanation of medical plants is the beginning of the day. Swimming and relaxing is the other part of the day or fill the day with own activities (fishing on piranha’s egg). At night we have a cultural dance of the local community.(L,D)

Day 9: Today we will visit some maroon villages and see their activities, the way of living and their homes.  We will leave the village for Paramaribo in the evening. (L)

Day 10: Day for Leisure or own activities

Day 11: Early in the morning we will leave to the west side of Suriname to British Guyana. Arrive in George Town in the evening.  Free for own activities. (L,D)

Day 12: Visit the flooding bridge, botanical garden and zoo in George Town. (L,D)

Day 13: A visit to the Kaieteur Falls and Orinduikriver.(L,D)

Day 14: Return to Paramaribo again. (L)

Day 15: Departure day

What to take along:
Good walking Shoes, water sandals, flashlight, hat, sun crème, mosquito gel, waterproof bag for camera, small bag for personal items and small notes of SRD.

Additional information:The price given is for overnight in Paramaribo in a guesthouse. For overnight in a Hotel the price will be Euro 1.678, - per person for 2 persons a room. For a single room an additional Euro 75, - will be added. The minimum required participants will be 8.
